Shima Oil (4oz) Review

I cannot express how much I love what this young lady Shima is doing! Not only is she educating young women on how to care for Afro textured hair but she is a living walking example that Afro textured hair DOES grow!
I love Shima and all of her hair growth techniques. Shima was a great resource for me when I found her on Youtube (shimahair21) a year ago. Her styling and growth techniques ALONE have helped me to get my hair back to a healthy state and in the process of retaining MORE length. I have natural afro textured hair that is a little past shoulder length when stretched. I am now going into my 2nd year of my healthy hair journey and Shima's PROTECTIVE STYLING and Moisturizing techniques are phenominal!!. She has products like the Hairline Creme, Shima Oil and Shampoo that work in addition to her step by step guide and DVD. Shima is really a valuable resource when it comes to achieving mythical hair lengths. She is LIVING proof that her system works. I would recommend giving Shima's products a try, you wont be disappointed. The Shima oil is light weight and smells good! Using the oil in addition to protective styling and gentle handling of your hair will help you retain length!!

i am growing out my hair with and oath to never relax again it is about 4" of new growth with 1" of relaxer left also one day i was bored and dyed my hair a golden reddish blonde color beautiful color but i misread the instructions and left it in 20 min too long so now my hair was really dry frustrated i was going to cut it all off but i found this product along with the other 2 in jars they have a special on their website shipping was really fast put it in my hair the moisturizer first then manipulator did 2 strand twist it made my hair softer than it has been in a long time in it's natural state and that is saying alot this a product line i will continue to use.

This shampoo is amazing on many levels. One, being it doesn't have any sulfates or alcohol that be could harmful to your hair. It very cleansing nor my hair feels stripped, extremely moisturizing. With its slightly greasy consistancy and sharp smell, this hair butter weighed down my twists without giving them much mositure. However, when applied to my open hair (styled in an afro) I was pleased to find dazzling shine and softness in every mirror. I was very impressed with the results provided by one generous dollop of hair butter.
I am uncertain of the proper way to store the hair butter. I had been keeping it in cupboards and this, apparently, is not a good idea. Twice I've had to skim mildew from the surface of the product. At this point, I'm keeping it chilled in the fridge for fear that I'll have to toss this months-old jar of HB out in the trash.

I use the product for external purposes and it is wonderful. The consistency is clean and it works wonders on tight muscles and joints. A little caster oil rubbed in and a heat pad and you'll be moving again in no time. And a plus ... it doesn't stink like most joint creams.

I have heard so many great things about the shima oil and i went on to purchased it. Omg i am so glad i did because my hair used to be so dry, but now when i used the shima oil it became so soft and shiny. And also what makes shima oil so good is that it's not oily compared to the others...My bottle finish so quick in few weeks because i had brought the smallest size which is the 4 oz. Seeing how well my hair reacts to the oild i decided to buy the 8oz and now i am using it before going to bed. I takes lots of note when shima said that protective hairstyles helps with the oil to have long healthy hair. Ladies, She is not lying about it. I have seing so many growth and i am so happy with her oils, the creme, dvd's and so forth. Thank you Shima.

After spending too much time in the sun, my scalp became very dry and irritated.
I'd wake up scratching my head from terrible itchiness I had. After applying this oil to my scalp for a couple days, the irritation and itchiness diminished and my scalp felt comfortable again.
It has a mild scent which diminishes very quickly. A good, reasonable purchase that brought quick relief.

Wen® Lavender Cleansing Conditioner - 32oz Review

I usually don't write a review for any product but felt this was necessary. I first tried the 16 Oz Sweet Almond Mint and loved it! I have longer medium thickness hair that is curly when air dried. I noticed a dramatic reduction in hair loss (hair in shower, on my brush, etc). Also, my hair was really soft and shiny. If I were to rate the Sweet Almond Mint it would be 5-stars, hands down.
I went to order the 32 Oz and at the time Amazon didn't have Sweet Almond Mint in that size in stock, so I ended up ordering the Lavender. You would think that the scent shouldn't make much a difference in the actual results of the product but it does in this case. I have noticed my hair is more brittle, dry, and I lose more hair on this compared to the Sweet Almond Mint. I've learned my lesson and will now just stick to Sweet Almond Mint. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that the different scents do have different effects.

Aubrey Organics - Gpb Hair Conditioner And Nutrient, 16 fl oz cream Review

I have been using GPB for maybe 2 years and it's a mainstay along with the Honeysuckle Rose. I use the honeysuckle rose as a regular conditioner and the GPB as a treatement/deep conditioner. I use it as a pre-shampoo treatment or an after shampoo treatment depending on how much time I have. Using this regularly has kept my hair strong and healthy, no breaking.
This product is not watered down, it is thick. There is no fluff such as mineral oil, it simply has great ingredients and lots of it. Because it is thick, it can be a bit difficult to get out of the bottle, but it is easy to apply.
I use it two ways depending on the day.
Option 1
I apply the GPB with a tad of EVO (extra virgin olive oil) to dry hair and cover with a plastic cap. I then exercise, study, do housework, do stuff online etc. I dont have a time frame anywhere from an hour to however long it takes me to finish what I am doing. In the shower I first rinse my hair very thoroughly and then shampoo and condition as usual.
Option 2
Beauty day. I Shampoo my hair as normal, and then condition my hair with the GPB. I cover with a plastic cap and then do my beauty routine (shower, exfoliate, shave, brush my finger and toe nails etc). After all that is done, I remove the plastice cap and rinse from hair to toe.
I personally love the smell of the GPB, but please remember that scent is a personal thing, it smells good to me, but someone else may not feel the same.
And a note to the ladies: so we are not 100% sure that parabens do cause breast cancer, but we know it is found in the breast tissue of women diagnosed with breast cancer. Why should we play Russian Roulet and take the chance when there are good products around like this that can keep us beautiful without the implied risk?
