Groworks Grow It Root Serum 4 oz. Review

While on vacation recently, I noticed that my hair had drastically begun to thin, break, and shed; so much so, that I contemplated the following options: buy a wig, find the nearest salon, or cut off all my already short hair, (all of which I have done before and was not satisfied). While I was contemplating my options, I happened to be in a local grocery store and began to peruse the hair care aisle. That is when I discovered this wonderful product, GroWorks. I am always looking for hair products that I hope will help my hair and scalp. I wear various natural hair styles (e.g. the Afro, twists, Nubian knots, and braids); and although I don't have any chemical treatments or color in my graying hair, it is still very fragile. I was attracted to the name and packaging of this product and after having read the label, I thought I would give it a try. I am glad that I did! The very first time I used it, I could feel the difference and within in 2-3 weeks, I saw a difference. Not only had my hair stop breaking/shedding as much, but it felt thicker; hair and scalp had a natural sheen; and it looked healthier! In the past, I have wasted much money and time on hair care products that did not work for me, but this product was different. I highly recommend GroWorks, because for me, the product performed; it did what it said it would do. My hair is growing, slowly, but stronger! I've only been using GroWorks Strenghtening Root and Scalp Serum and the conditioner for not quite a month, but I intend to continue. If you try GroWorks, I hope that you will be satisfied as well.

I absolutely love this product. I was first introduced to it during a visit to one of my friends in Manhattan. I live in Georgia so I can't exactly get this product as easily as she can, so I was elated to find this product on Amazon. I am mixed with German and Black, so my hair is all over the place. This product not only softens the texture of my hair but always has a great scent that lasts. I call it hair crack because if I don't use it when I wash it, my hair will not cooperate as well...lol, crazy as that may sound. I simply wash and condition my hair as usual and then use the silicon mix, i let it sit for about 3-4 minutes in my hair and wash it out. I am contemplating buying the shampoo and conditioner next. I hope this review helps people with my texture of hair. Have a great day folks!!!

I'd read online that this was a good clarifying shampoo so I expected it to strip my hair completely and leave it dry and brittle. After washing my hair with this product, the results were quite the opposite. I started combing my hair and the comb just slid right through my hair....super easy detangling and my hair NEVER detangles this easy...and this is with new growth which is very kinky and tough! I was so surprised I actually went back to read the bottle because I didn't realize it detangled. My hair was not left dry or brittle. I was greatly impressed! I now use this shampoo on a weekly basis. I love it when products do what they say they're going to do. This one will be a definite keeper!
So this review is a good assessment of the product, I've used it three times before posting the review.

I'm always looking for good conditioners for my dry hair. I used this conditioner for the first time, and I can honestly say it's great. I washed my hair and applied this product and sat under my hooded dryer for 30 minutes. When I rinsed it out of my hair, my hair felt like silk. After blowdrying and flatironing my hair feels so soft. So this will now be one of my staple products. Now on the other hand, my best friend used this product and says it left her hair feeling very thick and coated. Her hair is already thick so that's the last thing she needs. Me on the other hand, I have thin hair, and strive for thickness. So obviously it works for some and not for others. But as long as they make it I'm going to continue to use it.

My friend turned me on to the Doo Gro Mega Thick lotion and I have been using it for about the past six months. I really liked how it tamed my hair more than any other salon sold product. I also use It's a Ten but I still need to use my Doo Gro because nothing makes my hair less frizzy. When other people have seen my hair recently they are amazed at how much it grew and how my hair has gotten fuller. I have naturally thin, frizzy, curly hair and my hair now is full long and healthy looking like the women who do hair commercials. We are all blown away at this product. I highly recommend it although the friend who recommended it to me can't use it because it's too heavy for her hair and makes her hair oily. I recommend it for people with excessively frizzy and thin hair!!!

Miracle in a Bottle
That's what they should call this product. I am a black woman from the Caribbean. I never had problems growing my hair. In fact, the length of my hair shocked most people. It's been pulled and tugged by the strangers around the world. My hair was my pride.
A new high stress job with an energy company, the end of a 14 year relationship and the fright of raising three children on my own, sent me into a state of stress and panic. Although I looked calm on the outside, my hair was breaking in clumps. To save face, I chopped it all off less than one inch stating to all who asked me why I would cut my hair that I wanted I change.The truth is I didn't want to cut my hair, but the stress from the job and everything else sent my hair to the bathroom floor every morning.
After seven months. I left the job, started doing meditation and yoga to regain my centre but my hair continued to struggle. A friend suggested Alter Ego. The only words that describe this product are Miracle in a bottle. In just one month my hair has nearly doubled in length. I actually feel my hair growing. Its pricey, but it worth every penny. Huetiful Hair and Facial Steamer (1yr Replacement and Free Shipping) Review

I got this steamer as an early Christmas gift. Being excited to try it out, I set it up right away. Overall the steamer was OK. After using it a couple times, I cannot say that it was any better than sitting under my mom's old-fashioned heating cap. A couple details about me: I have natural african-american hair 4b/c sometimes classified as (cNapp). My hair responds to moisture and conditioners- which seems like the perfect equation for this product.
Some obvious flaws are:
1) The steam hood is designed slightly inadequately, as the steam does not reach the bottom 1/3 or back of your hair (about 3-4 inches above your nape). To remedy this, I steamed about 10 minutes regularly, and then turned backwards in my seat, straddling cowboy style, having the front of the hood steam the back of my hair. This worked OK, but not the ultimate solution. For $125+, a problem like that should be addressed. Additionally, another method I use to get the most steam exposure is to band my hair at the top of my head with a headband. At least with this method, my ends get wet. Oh, and a sweatband is almost essential if you don't want to continuously rid your face and neck of water.
2) The steam session is only estimated to last about 20 minutes, however, my steamer automatically shut off while there was an inch of water left in the basin (yes, I got out my ruler and measured). Don't get me wrong, as a forgetful person I embrace automatic shut off, however, I don't appreciate premature shut off. Anyway, with so much water left in the basin, and the coil being submersed in the water, one naturally worries about rust, right? Well taking off the basin is hard, and almost feels like you are going to break it. So I just loosened it and tilted the whole unit over the sink to pour out the excess water.
3) While not on the top of the list is the fact that the hood is not adjustable, meaning you have to find the perfect table and chair combination to be adequately positioned under the unit. I'm short, so I used my office chair that has height adjustment.
All in all, if steam works for you, then give it a go. But I honestly think their developers need to go back to the drawing board and redesign the hood to be more effective (and us early adapters should get a replacement part- but that's not going to happen, I'm sure). I wanted this to be a drop-dead amazing product because it garnered rave reviews(in hindsight I wonder how genuine this is since part of their marketing scheme was to send free units to popular hair bloggers) but it landed at "ehh, ok" (but do I tell that to the person who bought it for me?? whomp whomp).
Oh, and I cannot comment on the facial attachment as I haven't received it yet.
Additional Note/Edit- I am really upset with Huetiful as I have found that the same machine design (features and all) minus the $3 "made in China" plastic hood is offered by another company at half the cost! I really feel that Huetiful is benefiting off of this machine at the expense of the African American community by repackaging the product and charging double! I posted on their Facebook page my concerns and they deleted my comment! That, to me, implied their guilt. I will not be supporting them.
Please see here for the product I am referencing- note that the only differences are 1) the colors (yes, seriously, the colors of the base and trim) and 2) the cheap hood. Id rather buy this machine and fabricate my own hood from supplies at my local hardware store. This product was introduced in 2008, which means it came first.

I purchased this product to help regrow my temple hair, which was ripped out by tight, weave-enhanced cornrows. When I say ripped out, I mean ripped out -- folicles and all, to the point that it was just shiny skin. I put this stuff on it maybe three times a week and in two weeks I head a reasonable amount of hair there, and in four weeks the hair was the length it was pre-cornrows. Maybe it as my natural hair growth cycle, I don't know. But I had my temple hair ripped out by weave six years ago and it took two months for it to grow back. So I'm going to give this black castor oil the credit.

This has to be one of the greatest hair products Ive found.. I am a natural hair stylist of many years and I use this oil on many of my natural clients. It also works on relaxed hair but not as well. The ppl that have written bad reviews for this product may not have knowledge of natural oils or how to use them. This product does not smell like something you would find in a typical beauty store, mainly because it is a NATURAL product and not filled with ingredients that are placed in many of those cheap hair growth-stunting products. To get the best results from this product, use it on damp hair. If used on dry hair, use only a very small amount This products is a very lightweight oil and I use it on my own hair and it adds a brilliant shine..I also use it on my son to twist his hair after washing and it provides great manageability and softens his hair a lot. The oil is solid when u receive it but u can just put it in a cup of warm water for a few moments or microwave it for about 15 seconds. I hope my review can help someone else out there.

I have been using fast grow for about a month now and my hair hair has grown out a lot since using it. I have to admit I thought the vitamins wouldn't work and that I would be wasting my money on another product that claims to grow black hair and doesn't but this product really does work. I read hair blogs and ppl were talking about how Castor oil thickens your hair. So of course I had to try it. I apply castor oil to my scalp two to three night out of the week. My hair is thickening and growing well with a thicker pattern and grain of hair. Even the hair on my sides have started to grow in after about 2 months of using CO. Its almost as if the CO is affecting the texture of my hair in a good way. I have sort of went Castor Oil crazy! Because Cator Oil is so thick, I mix it with my lotions when applying them to my body for added moisture. I apply it to my skin after I have applied a facial mask and on days that I know I will wash my hair ( Im AA lol), i apply a generous amount to my scalp, cover my head with a plastic cap and warm towel and rinse. CO is especially good for AA hair because our scalps tend to dry out sooo easily. This is definitely one of my staple products!
Even with all the uses, I still havent used half of the bottle.

I first started using this product a few months ago after searching near and far online for reviews. I read all sorts of negative reviews about this product making people's hair fall out, people saying that is smells bad and people complaining about the commercials on tv for the product. Let me tell you, this is the best relaxer I have ever used. I would put it up against Designers Touch, Nairobi or even Motions any day and it will beat them every time. Trust me, I know about the above mentioned products because I have paid hair stylists to use them in my hair for years and usually when 5 weeks is up my hair turns back into a bush. Not to mention, my scalp used to be so dry and itchy using those other products and they always burned my scalp even when I did not scratch. I am an African American female with kinky, nappy, hard to manage (I think type 4c) hair and after I applied this relaxer following the directions exactly, my hair was slick, soft, and silky. My hair looked and felt like Indian hair, honestly. I was surprised since I had read so many negative reviews. My hair did not fall out, the relaxer did not even burn my scalp, and the smell was not that bad. The relaxer smelled like any other relaxer and all the other products have a refreshing smell, similar to Big Red chewing gum, or Winterfresh chewing gum, it is a strong scent but, it does not stink. People high and low complained about the commercials and I see nothing wrong with them because my hair was wild and unmanageable just like the woman in the commercials prior to my trying this product and I did not like my hair nappy. I suppose if you have never had hair so nappy that you can't even comb it like I have had then you would find the commercials offensive. But, this relaxer could not have done a better job; people keep asking me which relaxer I used because my hair looks like Pocahontas's. Dr. Miracle's regular relaxer is great and I had never before seen results like that. I will never go back to any other relaxer.

I always try organic stuffs on hair. It is neat with all natural ingredients. I re-applied the second quarter shampoo of it, my hair tangled up/felt squeal cleansed! I thought I was going bald, my heart beats fast and looked at ingredient once again. It is actually listed as natural, don't know what is wrong. It never had happen to me. Might it is not suited my hair type. My hair is 4a Kinky-Curly. It does work well at first when I poured a little dime but I felt still dirty. Probably you were suppose to only use a half to dime shampoo of it. I would not use that AGAIN, or any product related to that company.
USE IT AT YOUR YOUR RISK!!!! It is a good moisture that give my hair waves, stop itch, overall I am still disspleased that is too squeal cleansed -it felt like I was using detrengt soap on hair.
